This lively competition brought together the junior futsal talents from La Salle High School and College Faisalabad, La Salle Urdu, and La Salle Malkhanwala, turning the campus into a vibrant hub of energy and excitement.
Unveiling the Floodlight Futsal Azadi Cup
On the illustrious evening of August 11th, 2023, the inaugural ceremony of the floodlight Futsal Azadi Cup took center stage. The occasion was graced by notable dignitaries, including the Chief Guest, Mr. Mohammad Azhar, President of the Futsal Association Faisalabad. The gathering also enjoyed the presence of the Guest of Honor, Bro. Sajid Bashir, Sector Coordinator of De La Salle Brothers Pakistan, along with esteemed Brothers Saddique, Tabish, and Sajawal. Additionally, luminaries like Mr. Naveed Asif, Mr. Assad Emmanuel, Mr. Kokab Shakeel, and the parents of the young players illuminated the event with their presence.
A Spirited Clash of Seven Teams
A total of seven spirited teams participated in this high-energy tournament. The unique twist that each team was owned and supported by a dedicated Brother added an extra layer of enthusiasm and encouragement for the young athletes. Teamwork, sportsmanship, and determination were at the forefront as Team Black, owned by Bro. Aloysius, clinched the top position, closely followed by Team Red, owned by Bro. Sajid Bashir.
The Glorious Closing Ceremony
As the sun set on this captivating tournament, August 13th, 2023 marked the celebratory closing ceremony. Bro. Sajid Bashir, once again, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A culmination of talent, dedication, and sportsmanship, the ceremony was marked by the awarding of trophies to the winning teams. But the true stars of the event were all the participants who were recognized and appreciated with certificates of distinction.
