Shotokan Karate: Cultivating Character and Celebrating Championship Success
On May 19-20, 2023, “La Salle Day Inter-District Karate Championship” was organised by La Salle School administration. On the first day the Chief guest was Bro. Sajid Bashir (Sector Coordinator). Br. Shahid Mughal Principal La Salle High and College, Mr. Naveed Asif Vice Principal, Bro. Samuel Tabish, Bro. Robin Mughal, Bro. Sajawal, and other dignitaries were present to witness the great event. In the competition 100 boys and 80 girls from 10 schools of Faisalabad district participated.
The boys of La Salle High School and College Faisalabad got the third position and the girls got the first and third position in the competition and set a record. The students and officials who got prominent positions in this karate championship were awarded with prizes.
On this occasion, Bro. Shahid Mughal shared the benefits and objectives of Karate such as, Shotokan style Karate offers great benefits like, greater focus, self-esteem, self-discipline, calmness, and a more positive attitude toward life, as well as a knowledge of self-defence. The focus of Shotokan Karate training is the perfection of character. He also congratulated and appreciated the Sports Director Miss Ayesha Arbab, Mr. Mirza Imran, and other officials on the success of the Karate Championship and appreciated their efforts.
